Yesterday Emma came home crying, saying that she fell down and that no one helped her except her best friend Katarina. I made this for her last night as a way to say thank you, because I think it's important to reinforce the message to be a good friend.

Max slept for almost 2 hours today (and Shawn I'm trying to ignore) so I got to match the fabrics for my flowers-yeah! If you're a mom in my family reading this, then look closely and you might see yours (and I'm working on some other goodies...) The cookies are for the shop too...but maybe some lucky little ones will receive some too! Later!

After cruising the blogworld I came across this idea too interesting to pass up: you go onto Google, enter your name in quotes with the word need, i.e. "Amber needs", and see what 10 things comes up. So what does Google say I need ('cause I got me quite a list already without Mr.Google's help)

1 Amber needs to pee. (so for you're right)

2. Amber needs a tatoo. (Been thinking of one-uncanny)

3. Amber needs to pee again a lot. (I don't hvae to go that often-come on.)

4. Amber needs socialization and stimulation. (Again, on the nose.)

5. Amber needs jewelry. (Yes, but having the name "Amber" doesn't mean that I want a piece of Amber, if you know what I mean.)

6. Amber needs a prayer. (Yes people, pray for me. Some of you have seen my house, I do need some prayers.)

7. Amber needs a new home. (Got one, now I need to live in it.)

8. Amber needs Jesus. (See you Sunday.)

9. Amber needs parents to understand my special needs. (I think I'm a little past that, but I could use some support-I just want to pee with the door closed once in a while, that would be nice.)

10. Amber needs business intergration. (I'm not really sure what that means, but I think it means that I need to organize my business. Yes please-see no.9)

good times were had

Emma's party was almost 3 months overdue, but worth the wait. What a blast! We went to "Atelier Toutou" in Old Montreal with some of her friends from school, and is was really fun (and so low maintanance! easy peasy). They all played games with the animator, but all they really wanted to do was stuff the bloody bear. After an hour they finally got to start the process of choosing their bear, making their wish to put inside and take a picture with their bear (really cheesy, but very effective-kids ate it up!) Hopefully next year we can have it at the house (less expensive and don't have to travel). Totally worth it!(And by the way, the kids practically loved the crowns as much as the bears! Ha!)

crafty birthday

So for Emma's party, I had decided not to make anything because what is the point of going to a prty place where they do everything for you but then go crazy and make a lot of stuff? But I'm a little (LOT) obssessive and if I get an idea, if I have even 5 minutes I'm going to give it a go. So I got the idea for some crowns for her and her friends, and started them the night before (because really, that's enough time right?). Emma and I chose each colour for her friends, I designed a pattern, and away we went! and I have to say I really like the results that I'm going to make a package of them with a birthday banner like the one I have hanging in my kitchen (I'll post pictures later) and for the great idea of combining the two I have my hubby to thank (kiss kiss).

My babies are bald!

I went yesterday to the hairdresser Minimod, and at the last minute I got the courage to cut Max's hair. Goodness! I told the lady I wanted him to look like how he came in, just not poofy. He cried, I cried...it was messy. But he got a lollipop and I went to buy a new mascara so we all went home a little better.

 

Shawn and Emma both look great-Shawn is a little shorter than I would like, but ultimately I always want him to have long hair and if you want long hair then don't cut it, right? It will grow back, and it's summer, so I'll relax. I'm going to get Max's certificate now and put it into his album...he got a certificate saying it's his first haircut with his curl taped to it. I just want to stick it back onto his head! I don't recognize him! Waaaaaa...:o(
